What is CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is a non-invasive procedure for the reduction of unwanted fatty tissue, utilizing a patented method known as cryolipolysis, or the use of cooling to break down fat. Fat cells are particularly fragile and can be specifically targeted without harming surrounding tissue.  The body naturally processes and permanently removes the destroyed fat over a period of 8-12 weeks. Common treatment areas are the abdomen, flanks, upper arms and under the chin.

Am I a candidate for CoolSculpting®?

CoolSculpting® is recommended for men and women who want to eliminate small pockets of stubborn fat from their bodies. You should be near your ideal weight and have realistic expectations of both the procedure and the lifestyle that you will need to maintain after the treatment reduces your fat.

How is CoolSculpting® performed?

During the procedure, patients wear a handpiece that gently pulls the skin and fat into a chamber where freezing energy is administered. All you feel is a slight tug on your skin followed by a cooling sensation. We are proud to be one of the few practices in Louisiana that has two CoolSculpting devices, meaning we can do twice as many treatment spots in half the time!

What is recovery like after CoolSculpting®?

After CoolSculpting®, you may experience temporary redness, itching, and/or tenderness in the area of treatment.

How long will CoolSculpting® results last?

The results of your CoolSculpting® treatment can last for many years, yet this depends on your lifestyle and how your body ages. Exercise and good nutrition are two of the best ways that you can keep your body fit and toned after a CoolSculpting® treatment.
