Acne

Acne is a very treatable skin condition that varies in severity and subtypes. While most commonly seen in teenagers, it can be experienced at any age. Acne occurs when oil clogs the pores of the skin and is complicated by bacteria, hormones, and other inflammatory conditions. Acne can be linked to genetics, hormones, as well as environmental factors.

Rosacea

Rosacea is most often seen in patients over 30 years of age, and affects over 14 million people in the United States. It may begin as a tendency to blush or flush easily but can progress to rash-like areas of pimples and visible blood vessels on the cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin.

Acne Scars

Acne scars are formed when skin heals after a breakout. Acne scars may be red, leave a pit or textural change on the skin, or may cause post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation-some scars may have all of these. Many factors determine how one’s scar will form including one’s age, gender and ethnicity, coupled with the severity and location of the breakout.
