Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic disorder that affects 2% of the U.S. population. It usually appears as thick, red or white flaky patches. It most often appears on the elbows, knees, trunk, and/or scalp though it can appear anywhere on the body. There are several different types of psoriasis, which a doctor will diagnose in order to prescribe treatment. Moderate to severe psoriasis can be associated with systemic diseases including arthritis, diabetes, and coronary artery disease. Dr. Hooper and Dr. Jackson are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis, and will work with you to determine the best treatment options for your condition.

Eczema

Eczema can describe a variety of itchy, red, and scaly rashes that can show up on any part of the body. Eczema is not contagious, and can range from minor to severe. If not properly treated, the rashes can sometimes lead to infections.
