It most often appears on the elbows, knees or mid-section, and scalp though it can appear anywhere on the body. There are several different types of psoriasis, which a doctor will diagnose in order to prescribe treatment.

Moderate to severe psoriasis can be associated with systemic disease including arthritis, diabetes, and coronary artery disease. Your doctor will work with you to determine the best treatment, including topical, oral, injectable medications including the class of drug known as biologics.

Dr. Hooper and Dr. Jackson are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of Psoriasis. Through their membership with the National Psoriasis Foundation they contribute to the Foundation’s work to eliminate psoriasis.
