Scars
A scar is formed when skin heals after an injury. Many factors determine whether an injury will result in a scar, including one’s age, gender and ethnicity, coupled with the severity and location of the trauma. There are many different types of scars, including acne scars, keloids (raised, hyper-pigmented and beyond the bounds of the original injury) and hypertrophic (like keloid scars, but not extending beyond the scope of the original injury).
