Belotero®at Audubon Dermatology in New Orleans, LA
What is Belotero®?
Belotero® is a facial filler that works by attracting more water to your skin via hyaluronic acid, a substance that is found in the skin and diminishes as you get older. The gel immediately softens your wrinkles while the hyaluronic acid starts to work.
How Much Does Belotero® Cost?
The cost of a Belotero® treatment at Audubon Dermatology varies based on the amount of product that is needed to reduce your wrinkles. We can talk about pricing when you meet with one of our aestheticians for a free consultation. We offer several payment options, and many of our patients qualify for financing through CareCredit® that can be used for all of our aesthetic services and medical dermatology services.
Am I a Candidate for Belotero®?
Because hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin, most patients are good candidates for the treatment. The primary consideration is where you need wrinkle reduction, and Belotero® is formulated to help with moderate to severe:
- Smile lines
- Wrinkles at the outer edges of the lips
- Nasolabial folds
- Lines around the lips
Belotero® under the eyes is another application that helps with a sunken appearance, and Belotero® lips look soft and supple without being over-enhanced.
How is Belotero® Performed?
The Belotero® filler is packaged in sterile syringes with small needles. The needle is gently inserted into the skin at a specific depth to deposit the gel. We slowly inject the gel in multiple areas within the treatment area to produce a natural appearance. If you feel any discomfort during the procedure, we can apply a cream to the skin to numb the area.
What is Recovery Like After Belotero® injections?
Belotero® injections require no downtime or recovery. You may notice some minor tenderness and bruising at each injection site. If you have discomfort, you can gently apply a cold compress to the skin, but you should not massage or rub the area, as this can redistribute the gel. Symptoms should last only one to two days at most.
How Long Will the Results of Belotero® Last?
The anti-aging benefits of Belotero® filler tend to last at least six months, but this depends on how quickly your body breaks down the hyaluronic acid. The treatment may last slightly less time if this is the first time that you have been treated with Belotero®, and each subsequent treatment will last longer.
